C4L offers the following programs completely free of charge:

Kids’ Corner

Kids’ Corner is a community outreach service designed for pediatricians and health care providers to receive the latest information on child and adolescent mental health interventions.

We know you’re busy, so we schedule our presentations during lunch time, at your office, and at no cost. (Lunch will be provided). Our one-hour presentations include the most recent topics covered at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry conference.

ADHD – New ADHD insights from the National Meta Analysis Study: 36 months post treatment.

ADHD vs. Mood Disorders – Differential diagnosis protocols for ADHD vs. Mood Disorders (e.g., Bipolar Disorder).

Autism – Autism Spectrum Disorder; genetic studies and outcomes.

Special Education – Education on understanding public school services: special education, 504 plans, IEPs and Parent Rights, and SSTs.

Speech and Language – Speech and language disorders and central auditory processing disorders.

K-12 Workshops

C4L offers informative one-hour, K-12 in-service workshops for teachers and administrators, focusing on issues of students with learning disabilities. Our workshops include topics that can be applied to academics as well as to other life experiences. We address detecting red flags, teaching learning strategies, and nurturing social-emotional development in children with learning disabilities.

Family Center Mental Health Seminars

The Center for Learning is proud to have prepared a series of presentations in English and Spanish especially designed for the training of volunteers, administrators, and parent members of neighborhood community centers in Orange County.

These one-hour seminars are absolutely free and they review such topics as Understanding ADHD, Children with Special Needs, Families with English Language Difficulties, The Impact of Transient Lifestyles on Children, Developing Successful After-School Learning and Reading Clinics.
